Reiki is a type of holistic energy healing based on the principle that we all have energy flowing within us. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or even emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause physical and mental illness. Reiki helps energy to flow by removing blockages in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure. Improving the flow of energy around the body can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of physical and mental illness. Reiki practitioners complete advanced training and attunement rituals to be able to facilitate the process of energy healing for clients.
Before your first treatment, you will meet with the Reiki Practitioner to review your brief health history and to go over how the Reiki treatment works and what to expect. During the session, you will be invited to rest comfortably on our massage table, fully clothed under a blanket. The Reiki practitioner will use gentle hand movements just above or on the client's body to guide the flow of energy and to clear energy blockages. A Reiki session allows the client to reconnect with their on innate healing abilities.
Reiki treatments are non-invasive and safe for clients of all ages, though recommended treatment length may vary depending on age and presenting concerns.

As of April 1st, 2024 our full fee for Mental Health Therapy sessions will increase to $220 per 50 minute session. This fee will apply to individual therapy sessions for children, youth and adults as well as for couples/two-person and family sessions with our Mental Health Therapists for all new and existing clients that are paying the full fee.
Please note that this change does not apply to clients working with our clinical intern, or clients who already have a sliding scale fee agreement in place.
