Lesley Warron

Lesley is a Registered Psychologist and has over 20 years of experience as a therapist. Lesley is passionate about providing a safe and supportive place for clients to work through challenges in their lives, while fostering self-compassion to enhance resilience and overall well-being. She uses client centered approaches and cognitive behavioural strategies to target and change unhealthy thought processes which may have impacted self-esteem, family dynamics and interpersonal relationships. Through her own therapeutic journey, Lesley is aware of the courage it takes to come to therapy.  She views the therapeutic process as having an empathetic and compassionate companion who will walk with you in your healing journey. Lesley is experienced in supporting clients with complex trauma, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem, and adjusting to acute and chronic illnesses.

Lesley is honored to be an ally of the BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ and Indigenous communities.

Lesley’s pronouns are she/her/hers.

Lesley offers mental health therapy sessions in-person and via telehealth.

Lesley has extensive experience in working with children and families through her role as a Child Life Specialist at the Stollery Hospital for over 20 years. This role involved helping people cope with diagnoses of acute and chronic illness and the trauma, grief, anxiety and depression associated with this. Through this position Lesley recognized her desire to become a therapist and apply her passion and skills to other populations.

As a Provisional Psychologist Lesley has been exposed to diverse cultures and complex client experiences through training in a non-profit therapy organization as well as working in private practice. She is cognizant of challenges affecting different populations in terms of socioeconomic status, accessibility to resources, supports available and the difficulty of navigating services in a pandemic. Lesley strives to reduce the stigma associated with accessing therapy.

In her free time she loves to bake; cookies and cheesecakes are her specialty. A fan of true crime, she listens to various podcasts and documentaries and does a lot of reading as she is a voracious learner. Lesley loves taking long walks and hikes with family and friends inthe mountains or by the ocean as she finds fresh air very healing. Vancouver is one of her favourite places and she visits at least twice a year. A lover of royal history and the monarchy, she has explored many churches, castles and historical buildings in Europe. She loves the arts and music, and has been to many concerts, ballets and symphonies.
